Andrea’s Awakening Tips

Well, it’s finally Spring. Time to venture out from our warm winter cubbyholes and caves, wipe the sleep from our eyes and see what is truly here. Things are never as they seem through separate self perspective. So what can we trust in this mire of mental projection? In celebration of burgeoning spring let’s focus together on what awareness will add and open our awakening.

If you are like me; you may be feeling a bit dazed and confused by all the inner and outer changes that are still occurring. Sometimes it may feel like a boring merry go round…’oh I know this dance really well’, other times like an overly intense roller coaster that feels very out of control. Yes, I am beginning to throw my arms up and say yippee…this too is part of the whole.

As we are opening more and more to our true nature, we are releasing aspects of ourselves which are not really who we are. These may have served a purpose in our past. This can feel a bit unnerving, like what a snake shedding his skin must feel like. Only it’s more like dropping this aspect and that in a vortex of slow, painful confusion.

And the worst part is that the false self will try to make sense of all this change, only to continuously be getting in the way and actually slowing down or resisting the needed release.

It will also try to project, deny and escape as well, painfully delaying rebirth.

In duality there is also a push/pull that is experienced with the objects of our desire, especially with our loved ones. This is experienced with more and more contrast as one is awakening to true Self.

So how do we find our peace and joy as all this human duality drops away?

If life is complicated, you are in your false self. Come back home as simply as you can.

1. Breathe deeply and completely. This is a simple anchor to your true Self.

2. Simplify your life. Allow space to be an opportunity to commune with your Self.

3. Quiet your mind. The heart and soul are far more peaceful and restful.

4. Open to the joy within and in front of you each moment.

5. Appreciate the opportunity to experience life.

6. Remind your false self…things are not as they seem.

7. Forgive everything and everyone; especially those closest. They are simply mirroring your false self.

8. Breathe into, commune and dialogue with your heart.

9. Invite your soul to enter all of you, especially your body.

10. Share, speak, sing, dance from your heart and soul
