First: You have to discourage negativity. You should not allow anyone to say hurtful things, tease others in a mean way, physically attack others or try to cause trouble.
Second: It is important to talk the members out of refusing to help those who are needy. Having a desire to help charities is supposed to be a core value of being a Scout.
Third: Getting angry should be frowned on. It is usually counterproductive and it does not contribute to a peaceful working environment.
Fourth: It is your obligation to prevent selfishness. Everyone who is a part of the organization has to be committed to helping those they work with and contributing to the greater good of society while not only focusing on themselves.
Fifth: You need to encourage them to not have a big ego or too much pride. It is necessary for them to not be too proud to take on any task that is included in the daily operations.
Sixth: Showing up with a bad attitude should be a no-no. As I learned from a Sunday school teacher as a kid, you have to leave your troubles outside of the front door.
Seventh: It is essential to oppose laziness. Everyone is obligated to put a lot of energy and effort into their work.
Eighth: You should instruct them to be caring. They need to care about what they do and say and be concerned about themselves as well as others.
Ninth: You cannot put up with insubordination. The leader should be obeyed and respected.
Tenth: You have to discourage dissent. It is vital for everyone to set aside their differences and work together peacefully.
Eleventh: It is essential to stress less arrogance. Nobody should have the attitude that he or she is socially better than others.
Twelfth: You should discourage whining. Members should not complain or get upset over everything they are told.
Thirteenth: You are supposed to talk them out of practicing intolerance. It is important for people to accept others who belong to a different ethnicity or economic class.
