tell them the long term effects it will have on them, their familys, and friends. also tell them how they will be wasting money they could be spending on valuable things. they are hurting the way they look, act, and feel. they may make you feel good at the time, but once you crash, you feel so bad all you want is more. maybe tell them how certain drugs can make you look older, get wrinkles faster and stuff? tell them all negative stuff. hope this helps:)
Unfortunately it is incredibly difficult to motivate someone to stop taking drugs or drinking who is currently addicted. It is a realization that has to come from within in order to successfully stop. The best thing to do is prevention through education on how drugs and alcohol will affect you physically and socially.
