I motivate myself by imagining how I will look like, how my appearance will be after my weight loss and exercise program and this makes me more concantrated. When I get bored and want to give up I just think results of givinp up and results of going on my weight loss plan. And as you guess I decide to go on when I am so close to my goals (especially being fit and healthier). You may write your reasons and goals on a paper and stick it where you can see it everymorning so you will start a day by remembering them and so more motivated. These are my advices. I wish I can help you! Good luck:)
Exercising is hard to get motivated to do, I found having music I enjoy is helpful or find someone that will buddy with you to workout with also helps.
Cannot help you on the career move I am still trying to figure myself out on that one

If you want to motivate yourself, think to yourself.."If I continue this habit, I'm going to die at a really young age, I need to get fit! =D".
