How to Keep New Year's Resolutions – Part 2

If you really believe in yourself anything can be possible. If you insist and persist, change will happen. When you think of your new goal, give it a time frame. Be genuine. Do some research. OK, so you want to get fit. Could your body really see change in two weeks? Lets be honest two weeks is not much time. Sure you could lose a few pounds. Give yourself at least a minimum of three months to see a significant change.

Take photos of the first day of your challenge and do this every week till the third month. Weigh yourself and keep a diary of your progress. Eat well, yet treat yourself weekly. Make sure to inject some fun in whatever challenge you are doing.

Keep positive affirmations around the house. Place positive quotes around the bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen and the living room. When you wake up they are the first things you want to see, so that you start your day on a positive note. You want to believe in yourself and affirmations will boost your morale.

Do not let other people get you down, this is about you not them, You would not have decided to make change in your life, if you believed you did not need to. You know what is best for you and no one else. Believe in yourself, the mind is a powerful tool.

The Result

If you take your challenges with great commitment and enthusiasm, I guarantee you will see positive changes. With these positive changes you will lead a better and happier life. You will regain confidence and great things will happen. You will be able to do things you thought you could never do. This will have a domino effect and people will see a significant change in you.

So make this the year to remember. Challenge and commit yourself to positive changes. Don’t just talk about it, DO IT:)

Tips

1. Set achievable goals

2. Ask yourself when you want to accomplish this goal or outcome

3. What are the resources you will need to make this goal happen

4. How much time must you dedicate to make this goal happen

5. Why do you want to achieve this goal?

6 What exactly will happen when you achieve this goal (what positive change will you see, hear or feel in your life after achieving this goal/outcome)

7 Tell your friends and family you have set a new goal, this will drive you to do it?

8. There could be times when you want to give up, if so, remember why you wanted to achieve your goal in the first place.

9. Praise yourself after each task (remember Rome was not built in a day, so be patient, and work wisely, step by step).

10. Remember, you can achieve anything you set your mind to achieving, that’s right, with enough will and action you will make it.

Lastly as just mentioned, its easy to dream, and believe you can do, the most important thing is to take action, there is a saying, “enough action will lead you to satisfaction”, no action, means no satisfaction.

SO take time out to make your goal happen, and life will be amazing, that’s a promise.
