Law of Attraction and the Need to Feel Good

There is nothing more important in the world, whatever your circumstances, than that you feel good. This is the only way you can move towards contentment, happiness and joy. It is particularly important in the context of the law of attraction as, at its very basic level, it states that like attracts like. So if you are feeling good you will naturally attract more good feeling situations.

Most people are aware of how they are feeling in varying degrees. At the extreme you will certainly know if you are ecstatically happy or enveloped in the deepest despair, but even in the inbetween area you will know if you are tending towards good or bad feelings. There are, however, few people who understand the important guidance that their feelings and emotions provide.

Whenever you feel bad, be this angry, disappointed, sad or even just confused, you are in the process of attracting something which will not please you. It is always the case that negative emotion will come about when you are focussed on something you do not want or on the lack of something you do want.

Negative emotion is usually regarded as something unwanted, but it is useful if you can view it as an important guidance system which will help you to understand the direction of your focus. It is a warning to let you know that you are in the process of attracting something unwanted and if you can recognise this as such you can take the necessary action. Just acknowledging to yourself that you want to feel good will improve the situation. It is important to emphasise here that wanting to feel good is not the same as not wanting to feel bad. They are, in fact, vibrational opposites. Not wanting to feel bad is still focussing on the bad – so don’t make this basic mistake. The law of attraction will work on your point of focus even if it is something you are trying to avoid.

Whenever you are feeling negative emotion ou need to take a step back from the situation and acknowledge to yourself that you are in the process of attracting something you do not want. You will need to pivot your thoughts and focus on that it is that you do want. If you are disappointed because you haven’t got that you job you really wanted, don’t dwell on this but try and focus on what it would feel like to have landed the job. However difficult this may appear to be at the time, this is the best way to get moving in the right direction.
