*Keep in mind that I don't suffer from panic attacks, but I don't enjoy the activities I once did.
There were factors that lead me to having to take it such as: having a hard time talking to people, feel really awkward and can't look them in the eye, lack of motivation, concentration problems, etc.
Oh my God. I'm a 24 year old student and you have described me to a tee, minus the antidepressants. I probably should be on them. I have all the same issues as you but I'd be terrified of damaging myself by long-term antidepressant use.
I have all that: social problems, shyness, concentration problems, easily overwhelmed by tasks, no motivation to even get out of bed unless I have a structured day of lectures – and still am almost sleeping in. I also do the excercise thing and healthy eating to an obsessive degree to try and help myself. This thing has cropped up in my family though in different people. And yeah I tend to sit there feeeling sad and overwhelmed and worried (about the stupidest of things) when I know the task should be doable, but my brain is trying to tell me it's impossible and i can't accomplish it, causing me to continue sitting, or go online to waste time like right now.
I say you should discuss this with your doctor OR seek a student counsellor at your university if they have a counselling service – I recently discovered the service that my place does and I guess it's worth a try.
Wishing you all the best.

Speak to a doctor, they will decide if you need too and will also decide what type
Abilify or Zoloft
I'm not a doctor, so you shouldn't really be guided by what I say. However, you can get medication that covers both depression and anxiety such as this one :

You need to be evaluated by a doctor. They will decided whether or not you need any medication, and they'll determine which kind, if you do.
