The basic premises of success are: knowing clearly what you want and also what it would cost you to get it. Considering the first premise, many people do not know what they really want from life. Such cannot even decide on an important issue bothering them. You see, a key to your future is that you can still choose, you can still decide. What you commit to yourself to be will eventually change you from what you are into what you can become. I can deduce here that decision is the key to success. In the same vein, some people have the premonition of becoming very successful in life, but do not have the courage to pursue it. The only thing that serves as impediment between a man and what he wants from life is often merely the will to try and the faith to believe that it is possible.
Persistence has also been a very important strategy in achieving success. Most successful people actually persisted in whatever they believe in to make it. The persistence required to succeed is like that of a stone cutter hammering away at rock, perhaps several times without numbers with no cracks showing in it. Yet at a particular blow it will split into two. He actually knows that it was not the last blow that did it but all the blows that had gone before. Success they also depends on knowing the how long and how much it will take to succeed. Thus the breakfast of champions is not cereal it is problems. The biggest success is the one who solves the biggest problems. The reason so little is accomplished is generally because so little is attempted; I have also observed that it is not because things are difficult that we do not defy; it is because we do not defy that things are difficult.
Lastly, success real success, in any enterprise demands more from an individual than most people are willing to offer, not more that they are capable of offering.
