Conversational hypnosis has it its foundation in Milton’s model, a model for indirect interpersonal communication which was inspired a medical psychiatrist named Milton H. Erickson and created by Richard Grinder and Richard Bandler (co-founders of neuro-linguistic programming). Other men have contributed to the development of the model are Igor Ledochowsky, Dr Joe Vitale, Kevin Hogan and so may of them who made various contributions to the development of the field. Another field directly linked to this is the Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)
The art can be learned by virtually everybody if given the right environment, tools and learning techniques. The first and most important thing is to understand that there are different parts and techniques to learning the art. There are basically three types of hypnosis. We have the regular or street hypnosis, conversational hypnosis and self hypnosis. It usually required that you learn the basic principle of street hypnosis before you dabble into conversational hypnosis.
As stated earlier you need to first of all get all the tools required to learn hypnosis; usually CDs, tapes or books. To learn covert hypnosis you need to understand the two basic foundations and the principle behind the model.
The number one secret is to understand the secret language of hypnosis. Language is one of the great tools of the hypnotist. It’s the basic thing that is needed to get people into hypnotic state. Language is used to bypass the critical factor and stimulate the subconscious mind. So you need to understand the language before you can effectively learn the art.
The next thing is to get the keys. There are basically two keys to covert hypnosis and they Flow and association. Flow simply means that when you want to get someone hypnotized there is need to be a smooth flow of ideas. When there is a smooth flow of ideas there is need to be less logic involved in getting the individual influence to make a decision. The second key is association, which is the language of the subconscious mind. The key is that the mind makes reference based on the association it has in the past. That is to say one can influence the way people act by making them read random words. A typical example is asking people questions about yawning, sleeping and eating a delicious cuisine this immediately triggers an emotional reaction in them that brings about a desire or an action.
You also need to learn to manipulate the “Words Of Power”. In covert hypnosis there are four words of power, as, because, and and means. The words of power are very important. They are called linguistic bridge, which allow you flow with language and help you move from on idea to another.
