There are so many things which can make us feel bad, like the poor weather, the lost earring, the sad news, the favourite shirt becomes dirty, unsavory people, etc. However, don’t lets these factors upset you, you should find ways to have a good mood.
1. Try to look at the brighter side of things. I know it might be hard to do so in difficult situations, but every situation exists something positive. Feel sad for losing your cell phone? May be it is an excuse for you to buy a new one. Got a parking ticket? At least it is just $25 but not a big amount.
2. Be thankful to things around – your health, career, friends, family, etc. They don’t come naturally, so don’t take them for granted. Be thankful.
3. Laugh heartily. There is no need to go to laughing classes in order to do this. Try to laugh loudly when something bad happens. This may sound foolish to you. However, this can really help you laugh out because of its ridiculousness.
4. Remember always to think of a positive result. There will be chances only when you are optimistic and you have hopes for it.
5. Make a book of funny quotes. Whenever I see a funny quote, I always write it down and put it into my collection. Whenever I feel sad or tired, I would read through those funny quotes again. Some of my favorite quotes include those written by Woody Allen and Homer Simpson.
6. Inverse your body. This can cheer you up. Try the inverted yoga pose “legs up the wall” which can be done easily. All you have to do is to lie on your back with your hip up against the wall and make your legs bend against the wall, then hold this pose and relax.
7. Give yourself a rest. Many people want to get things done as much as they can and they are usually lack of sleep. If you have this wrong practice that can endanger your health severely, you should stop right now and try to enjoy your life with your family and friends.
It cannot be denied that life is difficult and we have to overcome many hurdles everyday. However, you can live a happier life by having an optimistic mind and avoiding bad things in your life.
