I'd love if the quotes came from the Bible, along with what verse it's from. But if it's not, it's fine. I plan on giving him a list of quotes in a few days, or maybe a quote a day to help him along.

People are addicted because they want to be, they enjoy it.
You can stop anytime you want, you just have to want.

Addiction is a matter of choice, just decide and work on it and you will not do it again. Sin committed in secret places is sweet. You must really want to come out from it, else it will always repeat itself. It is very possible, but you must decide.
I've used and abused any drug that was handed to me in my 59 years on this planet. Most recently I was in treatment for 6 weeks to kick morphine. I've also quit all the others and never looked back. i don't put my addictions in anyones hands except my own and that includes God and religion. My addictions were not the result of a personality disorder or a disease or lack of religion. Using drugs is only my choice no one else's. I'm clean because I want to be – simple as that.
