What Are the Best Techniques for Self-imposed Behavioral Modification?

I'm looking for general techniques that can be applied to a wide range of behavioral problems. If you want to break any number of bad habits, motivate yourself to do things, or keep to a schedule, what techniques can be employed without involving other people.

Suggestion:

Introducing a written self contract works for some.

So you would write down your ideas or bad habits.

And remembering your human & not super person

a list of things you don't like to do.

Rewards for achieved goals getting bigger and bigger towards

your main goal.

And some sections if you by chance or habit don't achieve them

A consequences list where you write down, something you really don't like,

for example I'll take your motivation goal.

It could be to wake up when your alarm clock goes,& consequences if you don't

something small,

(But not so discouraging that you quit altogether) (( Something you don't like ))?

For attainment of this goal you could put down a nice reward and give yourself a

pat on the back (And celebrate that for a day) by that time you'll get the idea

that most, if not all of your goals are achievable.

Soon you'll find after 21 days of success it becomes habit!

Good On You!

Best Wishes.
