What Exactly Makes Mutable Signs So Flexible? What Makes Anyone So Flexible?

i have always liked mutuable signs, but i don't understand their ways. how they differ and WHy they differ for those who like starting up projects/self motivated (cardinal) and those who stick to their ways/ hold their own (fixed)

Suggestion:

It might be helpful to kind of see it in terms of a beginning, a middle, and an end.
At the start of the zodiac wheel, we see Aries – the ultimate cardinal sign in that it is the pioneer, indeed even the pioneer of the whole zodiac. Where Aries exist, new beginnings exist . Wherever there is a cardinal sign, beginnings are formed. We need these signs to get the ball rolling.
After Aries we get Taurus – a very fixed sign indeed. Taurus sticks to routine and regimen, not because it is 'boring', but because it sees necessity in prolonging and holding onto things that have already been started. Without fixed signs, the ball wouldn't be able to keep rolling once it had started and would go nowhere at all.
After Taurus we get Gemini, and now we can see where the value of mutability lies. Gemini sees many sides of the issue and is therefore not so set on holding onto things or starting things. Mutable signs look at what is already there and observe. They aren't afraid of letting things go. So, mutable signs are happy to watch where the ball rolls – possibilities interest and excite them. When/if the ball starts rolling in the wrong direction, mutable signs are okay with letting it stop and then awaiting the path of a new ball.

Mutable signs must be the way they are in order to bridge that gap from the end to the beginning. Flexibility is needed in order to allow things to change. Pisces, arguably the ultimate in mutability, is at the end of the zodiac. Pisces must be flexible enough to allow the zodiac to begin again, for if it wasn't we would be operating in a line, when we simply must operate in a circle. Life is cyclical.

This is why mutable signs are considered flexible in many other ways too. They tend to let the cards fall where they may, and when one game is over they move onto the next. They have more open ideas about the world because they are not focused on keeping things going. That's not to say they're better than cardinal or fixed signs at all. The universe literally needs the beginning, the middle, and the end, or else there is no continuity and no cycle. Mutability is about accepting and moving with ending and change so that new beginnings can occur.
