Suggestion:
~Greed, avarice, bigotry, thirst for power and territory, money and religion lead the list. National Chauvinism plays a role. The ignorance of the hoi poloi helps immeasurably, as they are willingly led like Lemmings over the cliffs by their political, governmental and religious leaders, who tell them to kill for peace, for national security or because their gods ordain it. It is part and parcel of the human condition and virtually every government, society, civilization and god ever created by man has at some time or another ordained it, demanded it, condoned it or participated in it. So it goes.

fear that they will cause us harm in some way another if not eliminated
fear from terorrism, fear from limited resources (big one) fear from taking power etc etc
that is your thesis, all u need to do is support it, which wont be hard
