When You Are Stuck

You have been doing the best that you can, and you still are stuck? Have you been exploring self improvement for 10 years and you don’t see any changes? There is a simple way to break the barrier, but for some reason, you haven’t been ready to hear it.

Stuck is an Indication of a Closed Mind

This is not to place blame, but responsibility. Your Creator loves you and wants only abundance for you. The Universe wants you to grow and expand just as it is expanding. As a child you were on track. You learned to walk and talk and to read or you wouldn’t be reading this. Those are magnificent accomplishments for a one and two and six year old.

And then, you learned to shut down. Then you learned that “life is hard” or “in our family we will never be millionaires” or “from this neighborhood, no one gets rich” or some other set of “truths” that are only true because too many people believe them and follow them as law.

If you are stuck, it is all in your mind. Take responsibility and you can move on. Stay in the victim’s chair and you will have to make peace with what you have now because you aren’t going anywhere from here. You’ve heard the expression.

You Can’t Get There From Here!

I had friends who grew up in Vermont or New Hampshire in rural areas who used to delight in playing the country yokel when “city-folks” would ask directions. They would give illogical instructions with such a straight face that people would write down what they were saying and drive off gratefully. I am not advocating doing this to people, but the above expression was one of their favorite responses. “You can’t get there from here!”

It sometimes seems as if this is the story of our lives. We wanted something as a child, and someone along the way told us that we couldn’t get there from where ever we were. And, just like the city folks believing the country locals, we believed them. The result is a shame.

It’s not a shame on the person who told you, but it is a shame that you believed it for so long. I am here to tell you that it was a sham.

You can get anywhere from where ever.

Here is the good news. Where ever you are now, has four directions. If you feel that you are headed toward disaster, turn around 180 degrees. If you have been stuck in one place, turn 90 degrees and step on the gas. If that direction feels downhill, or away from the things you love most, then make that 180 degree turn.

What does this mean? You do have to go into action a little bit. You can’t sit on your couch watching TV and expect your life to change. I like meditation, but you can also ask your intuition/higher power/subconscious before you go to sleep at night to help you find a way to attain ________ or whatever you desire. It will answer your plea, but you won’t hear it unless you are already in action.

The first action to take is to let go of your past. This is the meaning of turning 90 or 180 degrees from where you are. Let go of all resentment and disappointment and past success. Those emotions are like anchors. Throw off the anchor if you don’t like where you are.
